The Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (PCRB) and Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau (DCRB) have created a new industry event, the PCRB & DCRB Workers Compensation Symposium (WCS), set to debut on April 18, 2024 in Philadelphia. Registration is now open and will end on April 5.

The WCS is designed to spotlight the latest industry updates across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and beyond, gathering leading experts for timely, can’t-miss discussion of the trends and other forces driving workers compensation forward. This year’s theme is “Evolving with Data and Artificial Intelligence,” and will feature:

      • Keynote Address from Peter Miller, CPCU, President and CEO of The Institutes
      • AI Experts Roundtable featuring Rob Clark of Cloverleaf Analytics, Ramona Tanabe of Workers Compensation Research Institute, Dave Bellusci of Bellusci Workers Comp Consulting, and Russ Sommers of Baker Tilly US
      • PCRB and DCRB Analytics Reveal including a first look at the bureaus’ new unified data platform
      • Updates on the state of workers compensation in Pennsylvania and Delaware

Panelists will discuss how data analytics and artificial intelligence are transforming the landscape of the workers compensation industry, advancing capabilities, and reshaping the way we operate in an era where data-driven decisions are paramount. The message across the industry is clear: embracing data analytics and AI is not just a choice but necessary for staying ahead.

“This is a groundbreaking event that marks the beginning of a new era for the PCRB and DCRB and the entire workers compensation insurance industry,” says Bill Taylor, President and CEO of PCRB and DCRB, who will provide opening remarks at the WCS and moderate the AI Experts Roundtable. “We are elevating the pivotal role of data in our organization and foresee a significant shift in our operations with the increasing use of business intelligence, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.”

The event will be held in Center City Philadelphia at Convene at CityView, a state-of-the-art event space. The WCS will also feature a networking breakfast and ample opportunity to engage with and learn more about other attendees.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as registration will be capped. For any questions regarding the WCS, please contact Dina Nichols at dnichols@pcrb.com or 215-320-4412.
