Job Summary:
The Underwriting Compliance Analyst reports to the Director of Classification & Underwriting. In this role they administer and interpret the rules and procedures of the Pennsylvania and Delaware Basic Manual (excluding classification administration and interpretation) because of inquiries from carriers, insurance agents, insureds, legal representatives of insureds and other interested external parties. The Underwriting Compliance Analyst also uses the rules of the Experience Rating Plan to administer, interpret and communicate ownership change rulings. Key priorities include analyzing confidential ownership information and articulating decisions completely and effectively to all involved parties. Required skills include the ability to research and analyze a broad spectrum of information related to various kinds of business operations, the ability to make decisions based on provided and solicited information in conjunction with Basic Manual provisions, and the ability to communicate the basis of those decisions to key constituencies. Duties of the role include responding to mail, telephone and e-mail inquiries from carriers, insurance agents, insureds and legal representatives of insureds regarding ownership information and Basic Manual rules. Complex ownership and Basic Manual rule interpretations are escalated to the Senior Underwriting Compliance Analysts. This position requires an individual with excellent decision-making capabilities, research abilities and the ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements:
Education: College degree required or equivalent work experience. Insurance course work a plus.
Experience: 0-3 years’ experience in professional office setting required; Industry experience a plus.
Skills Required: Strong organizational, communication, written, analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently but also as part of a team and adapt to various situations is a must. Requires persuasive communications skills with the ability to convey decisions and viewpoints in a constructive and informative manner. Employee must possess the ability to manage multiple assignments and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly. Strict attention to detail and accuracy is required. PC proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, ACCESS and Outlook required. Communicate effectively with all levels of PCRB/DCRB personnel and outside contacts.
Work Hours:
Normal PCRB Hybrid Flextime is available. Employee must be flexible when needed as projects or deadlines may sometimes necessitate extended hours.
