On July 15, the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau submitted Filing No. 2401 - Experience Rating Plan (ERP) Revisions. Recent reviews of the ERP recognized some deterioration in the performance and opportunities to enhance the plan. A thorough, multi-year process ensued, and updates were deemed appropriate for the ERP, which had been in place for many decades.
Comprehensive research enabled DCRB to identify several areas to improve the ERP, like updating the current split points and credibility values to work more effectively for all sizes of employers. DCRB's changes to the ERP will provide more accurate, fair, and predictive experience rating modifications while promoting and incentivizing workplace safety.
